a c Its barb are neither closely placed nor sharp enough hence it is no more accepted as a right fencing material
a c It is made MS core wire on which at intervals a set of barbs are made out of core wire. Its mechanical properties are such that it could easily cut or bent hence it does not provide effective fence

a c It is heavier. It weight is approximately 16kg per 100 running meter. Therefore it requires heavier angle iron post grounded at a distance of 1.5 to 2m maximum. This adds to the cost of supporting angles
a c Since its barbs are not very sharp enough and number of barbs per running meter are also less compared to high tech RBT the spacing between two horizontal strands is to be kept minimum I.e. approximate 150mm
